Eliza of Eliza K tells us, “One of my New Years resolutions for 2013 was to focus more on Reducing and Reusing as opposed to Recycling. I decided to start this year off with a simple project that incorporates my goals and takes care of a need around the house.” For this project, Eliza avoided a trip to the store by using an empty can that she already had around the house.
Eliza was planning to use the can to catch the coins that gather in her laundry room, but she wanted to make it a little more visually appealing. She did something really simple and smart: wrapped raffia twine all around the container. Now, the can that could have been trash has a natural appeal with interesting, organic texture.
