Homemade Bath Salts

Hopefully I don’t gross you out too much with this project I recently shared on Infarrantly Creative. When I was out running this summer I came across a major stash of Jack Daniels bottles on the side of the road. Seriously, there were more than 50 bottles there. Pretty nasty, huh?

I cleaned and disinfected them with a bleach bath and a run through the dishwasher until they were sparkling clean. The bottles have a lovely shape and were perfect for my homemade bath salts that I like to give as gifts. I customized the printable label created by my printable designer, Lousia from Flipawoo Designs, to go on the fronts of the jars. Now, what to do with the remaining 40 plus jars…

Love the shapes of those bottles. I think I’d rather handle and open them than the plastic water bottle. It’s going on my list for gifts in 2012. Thanks!

Oops! I thought I’d commented, but hadn’t seen it show up. Perhaps I’d better make some now and go take a relaxing soak!!! ;-)
