Over at Kids Activity Blog, Michelle came up with a fun craft for her kids. Most of the materials needed are probably ones you already have, and you’ll definitely have the most important one: an empty toilet paper tube.
Michelle and her daughter turned the cardboard cylinders they saved into cute octopi. (That’s more than one octopus, right?) Holes punched around the bottom of the tube provided a spot for yarn to be looped through to make tentacles. The tubes were painted and decorated with googly eyes. Michelle said that she had fun listening to her daughter play imaginatively with these sea creatures after they made them–making this a perfect summer activity: one that keeps kids busy once while making it, and again after while playing with it!
