Laura blogs at Over the Apple Tree. She recently decided that a pair of shoes she had that fit perfectly just weren’t the right color for her spring dress–even though she loved the style, they needed to be pink, not tan.
To refashion these shoes, Laura used craft paint mixed with some fabric medium. She taped off all of the parts of the shoes that she didn’t want paint to get on, and just went for it with a pretty shade of pink craft paint. To help the paint to stay on, she gave the shoes a top coat of glossy clear acrylic sealer. Voila–new shoes!
