Scrap Wood Planter is Worth the Wait

Kristi at Making it in the Mountains says, “Every time I see one of these lovely planter boxes, I tell myself that I’m going to make one too . . . and then life gets busy. ” She’s finally making it happen, thanks to a scrap wood challenge and a stash of beautiful blue mason jars.

She and her husband “cut down some 1×4’s to size,” then nailed them together to form a box long enough to hold her jars. Then Kristi sanded down the edges and corners to “add a bit of a vintage look,” and topped off the wood with a stain. She says, “This was honestly SO easy that I can’t believe it took me this long to make it!” But hey, it’s made now and it’s gorgeous!
