I get so excited when Nicole from The Felted Fox sends in clothing refashions. Not only does she have great taste and fantastic ideas, but she models her creations so well that I feel a little bit like Anna Wintour while I’m figuring out which pictures to show you! This refashion features the classic little black dress.

Nicole has a black dress that is perfect for traveling, since it is lightweight and can be crammed in a suitcase without needing any ironing afterwards. Since it’s been a favorite for quite a few years, she decided to update the dress a bit, and was inspired by the cage dress style. Cage dresses have strips of material criss-crossing over the neckline, giving the effect of a cage. To get this look, Nicole used black ribbon to criss-cross over the existing straps of her dress. The result is an edgy, high fashion new look for her little black dress!
