I’ve been careful not to share recipes here at Roadkill Rescue, since-ahem-the name of this blog does start with the word “roadkill”. The kind of roadkill we’re dealing with here are the objects no one wants that get transformed into something desirable and useful. BUT, there’s a first time for everything, and since my American readers probably have a lot of leftover food in their refrigerators this morning, I thought it would be fun to share some ideas today for using up those Thanksgiving leftovers today. First up: cranberry sauce.
Shawnda from Confections of a Foodie Bride has this one covered. When contemplating what to do with leftover cranberry sauce, she remembered how much she loved the chocolate covered cranberries from Costco-chocolate and cranberries are a yummy combination! Shawnda grabbed a box of Ghiradelli brownie mix from her pantry, and explains what happened next, “I simply prepared the brownies as directed on the box and then I dropped the leftover boozy cranberry sauce over top by the tablespoon, swirling it together.” The result was an easy and delicious dessert!
