Over at Little Brags, Christine has been experimenting with turning found objects into garden planters.

She’s managed to fill all kinds of things with flowers! Old washtubs, vintage kitchen implements, rusty buckets, vintage potato baskets, and even an old rabbit hutch have become container gardens in her landscape. Recently, she took an old copper boiler tub (similar to the one shown above) and filled it with a bloom that spills over the deep sides of the tub. I love the way the delicate flowers look set against Christine’s collection of completely rustic containers.

I absolutely love this! I’ll be filing this away for next spring!
Great! I love it when inspiration strikes!
Great idea! It’s amazing how many of these old items I’ve seen at auctions and have always overlooked them. I will be bidding on them next time for sure. Thanks!
It’s always great to see something with fresh eyes. Hope that you find one, now!
I love this look, mixing old vintage with beautiful flowers. I’ve got a bunch of “trash” flower containers too, and it makes me so happy. I just picked up an old wheelbarrow at an estate sale, but havn’t found the right drill bit to make drainage holes yet.
It’s a lovely contrast, isn’t it?
