Stacy from Buttoneeering shares a neat idea for upcycling empty glass bottles into lighting. She suggests that empty wine or liquor bottles works best for this project, but I bet mason jars would work, too.

The trick to creating lighting from old bottles is making a hole in the side of the bottle for the lights. Stacy knows how to do this, and offers several safety tips as well as step by step instructions. The end result is lighting that is both festive and sculptural. I really like the way the differently shaped bottles look together, all aglow.
