Positively Splendid contributor Megan from The Home I Have Made has just what you need to stay hydrated during this crazy heat wave – a DIY drink holder! Follow Megan’s tutorial, and your icy cold beverage will always be close at hand. It all starts with a tin can…
Megan prettied up her can with some blue medallion fabric and Mod Podge and then attached the hardware to transform it to a drink holder. This is so cute! I think the hardest part of this project will be eating soup when it’s 100 degrees outside {giggle}.

I made these also. But was discouraged after I cut both of my hands and had to go to emergency room for stitches and a tetnus shot. Lol. I did finish and they are fabulous. I am going to use the same concept but use PVC pipe to hold the cup. I have only been using my holders at the beach for two weeks and already see rust on the cans. I pinched down the inside of the cans and put duct tape so I had no more sharp edges. Awesome project!
