After Christmas I always go through my house cleaning out the old and making room for the new. Instead of giving away or even… dare I say it… trashing old clothes, consider their potential to become something new. I love this tutorial from Mary at Craft Buddies that repurposes an old shirt into a purse.
Mary used the fabric from the shirt, along with fusible fleece, a coordinating fabric for lining, and a canvas strap, to sew her own purse. Mary’s tutorial is so thorough. She provides a free PDF of the pattern and even shows where to cut the pieces from the shirt. Talk about a clever and completely functional upcycle!
