PB Knock Off Rescue

Here’s an amazing Pottery Barn style light by Sawdust 2 Stitches that I recently featured at Knock Off Decor.  Soon after Corey’s kids damaged her camera tripod, she spotted the Photographer’s Tripod Table Lamp in her Pottery Barn catalog.  She realized that with just a little effort, she could turn her damaged tripod into something very similar!

Studying the PB lamp, Corey decided that it was essentially a metal can to house the light bulb mounted on a tripod.  She picked up an empty paint can from the local hardware store and figured out how to mount it to the tripod.  She sprayed the pieces of the lamp with oil rubbed bronze spray paint, and used a light kit to electrify the tripod and fit it for a bulb.  Isn’t the new lamp amazing?

Tripod Floor Lamp

Susan from Homeroad was stoked to find a tripod on the side of the road. She had already been eyeing tripod-style lamps and wanting to make her own. While these can put you out a few Benjamins, Susan had a plan to make hers for only $13.

Roadside Tripod

Susan already had a light kit on hand, so she just took it apart, thread the wire through the top of the tripod, inserted her light bulb, and voila! While electrical projects may scare some away, Susan makes it look so easy. She then just plopped on a Target shade and had herself a new stylin’ lamp.
