Over at Lemon Tree Dwelling, Cathy shares that spring took it’s own sweet time to come to her neck of the woods. Anxious for some spring color in her home, she decided to make some of her own, starting with a few branches collected from her yard.

At Shabby Love, Melissa says, “I’m pretty much obsessed with yardsticks and have been collecting and hoarding them for over a year to start using them on projects.” So when a friend passed along this cute little table, Melissa knew exactly what she was going to do to it.

Lately it seems like we’ve enjoyed seeing quite a few makeovers here at Roadkill Rescue that started with Craigslist. This one from Kristen at A Thrifter in Disguise came from a CL ad in the free section that read, “Save this table from going into the dumpster.”

The beachy summertime display that Kathy of Petticoat Junktion created from reclaimed would has very authentic beginnings. ”A few years ago when we lived in Florida I drove up and down neighborhood streets every morning collecting discarded wood fencing from curbside,” Kathy explains.

At House by Hoff, April had a blank wall in her dining area that needed a little something. ”I considered doing some pallet art. I considered hanging some plates,” she says. ”Then, in a moment of sheer genius, I considered doing both.”

At This, That, & Life, Anneke sent her husband out to pickup a couch from Craigslist. ”When my hubby went to go pick it up, the guy selling the couch said, ‘Hey, do you want this dresser and chair? I’m just going to take it to the dump if not.’ Um, YES please!!!” Anneka laughs.

With summer just around the corner, I am loving this upcycle from Lindsay at Makely School for Girls. She turned an old BBQ grill into a gorgeous container garden!

Mandy of We Three Mothers writes, “About a month ago, Cooper was having a lot of fun playing restaurant and grocery store owner in the play room with our Melissa and Doug food items and Kiwi Crate grocery apron. I’ve been wanting a little kitchen for Lily and Cooper for a while, but am not a fan of the plastic ones they sell, and the wooden ones everywhere are pretty pricey. Alas! Cooper and I decided to turn this little table into an oven!”
