Mirror Turned Jewelry Organizer

If you love to accessorize, you are going to drool over this project from Becky at Posh Pink Giraffe!  She turned an old floor standing mirror into a beautiful jewelry organizer!

Becky had been hauling this mirror around with her for almost 13 years, and had seriously considered donating it to the local thrift store.  One day, inspiration struck, and she began a transformation that started with a coat of chalk paint.  Becky added things like burlap, ribbon, and chicken wire to create a surface that would be great for hanging and organizing her favorite accessories.  I’m so impressed!

New Mirror from Old

Over at The House on Harrison, Larissa inherited a couple of builder-grade mirrors from friends who were remodeling their master bath.  Larissa was thrilled to receive the castaway mirrors, since she’d been longing for a Trumeau style mirror.

Larissa and her husband used plywood and trim leftover from other projects to make the frame for their new mirror.  Isn’t it stunning?  With all the gorgeous trim and thoughtful distressing, you’d never guess this was once a plain old bathroom mirror.

If you’d like to make a Trumeau mirror of your own, Larissa has provided a detailed tutorial at The House on Harrison.
