Free Pinecone Wreath

Don’t you just love it when you come up with a crafty project that doesn’t cost a thing?  Just A Girl‘s Chris made this pinecone wreath with things she gathered outside and already had inside.  No shopping required!

What was required was a family outing to gather the pinecones that cover this wreath.  It’s a great transitional decor piece, that works great for both fall, Christmas, and winter decor–switch out the ribbon and you are good to go!  I like the different shades of brown and the interesting shapes of the pinecones.

Chris offers detailed instructions for making this wreath at Just a Girl.

Pinecones and Ribbon Framed Wreath

Lindsay from Linden and Lace found this ornate frame with picture curbside and snatched it up with plans to somehow repurpose it. The frame definitely has some potential with its soft curves and detailed carvings.

Curbside Frame

Lindsay realized her door needed some fall bling and created her own non-traditional fall wreath. Lindsay said adios to the outdated flower print and then painted the frame a bright and lively green. She finished it off with some equally bright and lively pinecones and ribbon. I love this fun fall wreath alternative!
