When Rhonda from Craft Dictator got out of her car one rainy day to rescue this chair from the roadside, it wasn't for it's seating potential. It was for the legs, she tells us, "I knew I could use the legs to make something useful and beautiful."
"I am knee deep in a garage, mudroom and kitchen addition," says Katie from Little House of Four. "Each week we've had a few deliveries, which all resulted in pallets full of material being delivered to the house." She's been using all that pallet wood to make useful and beautiful things for her home. Her latest project is turning pallet wood into picture frames.
When Dena from Hearts & Sharts got married, she explains what guided her wedding decor, saying, "I wanted each and every person there to feel the love." One of the ways she did that was by displaying vintage family photos on all of the tables. And for a pretty, vintage touch, those photos were displayed using spools from her grandmother's stash of sewing supplies.
Over at Daisy Mae Belle, Melissa shares a project that was the brainchild of her creative eldest daughter, Daisy. "She was thrilled to pieces when she found this old door at a yard sale," Melissa says. "She knew that it would be perfect for her room." The door was similar to the one pictured, below.
"My neighbor had a huge stack of cabinet doors sitting at the curb," says Laura of Live. Love. Scrap. "When I saw them, I was so excited, I didn't even wait for it to get dark before I started toting them home. It took me three trips in the rain, but it was worth it!"
