Trash to Treasure projects
Karen from The Weekend Country Girl has a bunk room at her weekend house. A bunk room seemed like the perfect place to decorate with a cowboy-western theme, so she’s been collecting items for that. When she came across an old, beat up dresser, Karen decided to spruce it up for the bunk room.
Over at R&R Workshop, Rachel has come up with an adorable refashion. ”We were given a pair of white Salt Water sandals from a friend and I wanted to change the color just for fun,” she says.
Now At Home Mom’s Ingrid had two Ikea stools in her kitchen that were fully functional, but not quite as pretty as she wanted. ”They used to look good in our all white kitchen but after our main floor renovation they didn’t match our kitchen style anymore,” Ingrid explains.
Allie blogs at This Yellow House, where she had a fan that she wasn’t exactly a fan of. ”I eventually want to replace the fan with a pretty chandelier,” Allie shares, ”but since I don’t have the funds for a new light fixture at the moment, I decided to update the fan we have.”
Over at Posed Perfection, Nici found this rust-covered metal cart at a garage sale. It looks like the type of thing that my elementary school teacher would have used to roll the film projector into the classroom. Remember those days?
Tanya of Twelve 0 Eight has been working on creating a fun family room at her house. This sturdy but dated chair is one of the seating options in the new family room.
Over at Daisy Mae Belle, Melissa shares a project that was the brainchild of her creative eldest daughter, Daisy. ”She was thrilled to pieces when she found this old door at a yard sale,” Melissa says. ”She knew that it would be perfect for her room.” The door was similar to the one pictured, below.
Marcy blogs at Day2Day Supermom. When she spotted a lettuce garden made from gutters on Pinterest, Marcy immediately thought of the old gutters lying out behind her husband’s shop. Instead of lettuce, though, Marcy was craving strawberries!
