After completing some decorative woodwork above her mantel, Andrea from Funsize Creations, found herself with a ton of leftover wood. Her husband was ready to throw it all away, but Andrea was holding onto all that precious wood with a vice grip.

Tami from Curb Alert! vowed she wouldn’t take anything when her neighbor moved and left behind a pile of discarded items. Tami even laughed with her neighbor about a “crafty old school” fireplace screen that was amongst the junk.

Shanna from Restoration Redoux got this vintage table at a yard sale for $4. It was wobbly and dirty, and the leather inlay on top had rotted. Yes, it was in sad shape, but $4 for a wood table is too good a deal to walk away from!

Ever since spotting a desk-to-nightstand transformation by a fellow DIYer, Jessika from Look What Jeff Did had been keeping an eye out for that perfect desk. The day finally arrived when Jeff scored this decrepit desk for free from Goodwill. Let’s just say it was so rundown Goodwill wouldn’t even sell it {wink}.

You may remember the aqua tequila bottle and tin can that Shannon from Fox Hollow Cottage blinged out with jewelry this summer. They got a lot of love over here on Roadkill Rescue. Well, after that lovely repurpose, Shannon still had tin cans aplenty that were patiently awaiting their makeovers.

When Kelly from The Pink Hammer removed a wall decal from her daughter’s room in preparation for a house showing, she hated to just throw it away. Instead Kelly looked for a new home for the decal that could travel with them and came upon an old window from her stash that was a perfect match.

Instead of living with a bunch of blank walls staring at her, Ashley from Design Build Love has found ways to create her own wall art for much less than store-bought prices. For one such project, Ashley upcycled a pile of scrap wood that had been sitting in her garage.
