Guest posting at Crafting in the Rain, Kathi says that she had been considering building a new TV console, but was a little nervous about how it would turn out. When she saw a listing for a free dresser on Craigslist, Kathi decided to take it and forget about building.
The vintage cabinet came to Nicki at Favorite Things by way of her friend’s basement. Even though the cabinet was in in really, really bad shape, Nicki was smitten. She took it home, and began the long process of fixing it up.
Here’s another gorgeous rescue from Ama of Ohoh Blog. Ama had an old cabinet that wasn’t very tall. She realized it was the perfect height for her little girl to used as a dresser.
Liz Marie, the gal behind Liza Marie Blog, got this old TV console from a Craigslist ad. When she brought it home, she discovered it was much more beat up than she had realized. So, she put some elbow grease into fixing it and giving it a painted makeover.
When you see the before picture of this rescue, you’ll agree with me that Karen of Redoux Interiors has an incredible imagination. She found this worn out cabinet sitting next to an apartment dumpster, and was able to imagine it’s possibilities as a a rolling cart.
