Trash to Treasure projects
Yvonne of Stone Gable is warming up the beds and sofas at her home this winter with cozy pillows. She makes hers from old sweaters that she finds at the local Goodwill. ”If you can sew a straight line you can make these sweet sweater pillows!” Yvonne says.
At Design, Dining + Diapers, Taryn had a piece of scrap wood that wasn’t doing much. She used it for a really cool project, a welcome sign with international appeal!
At The Happier Homemaker, Melissa was ready to hop aboard the starburst mirror trend train. But her husband…not so much. He didn’t love the prices of the mirrors Melissa showed him. That led to Melissa thinking a little more creatively about how to follow this trend without spending a ton of money.
Ann-Kay keeps a blog called Ann-Kay Home. She recently found a little sugar bowl while thrifting, and thought it would make a cute addition to her husband’s office.

project. I took a calendar I got for free, a cardboard box and an old t-shirt and made a new calendar!”
