Twine for an Update

Brett from Being Bianca shared this incredible table makeover at I Should Be Mopping the Floor.   What she started out with was a basic console that had been sitting in her entryway for years, and Brett tells us, “I just couldn’t stomach spending a small fortune on a new table without attempting an upcycle on this one first.”

What makes this makeover unique is that Brett didn’t just change the color or finish of this table, she went for an entirely new look by changing the texture, too.  After cleaning the table and removing the drawer hardware, she painted the tabletop with white chalk paint.  Then, Brett took basic crafter’s twine and began wrapping it around her table, hot gluing it as she went.  The result is amazing–a beautiful neutral, very textural table.
