From the Kitchen to the Garden: Succulent Planter

Aren’t vintage kitchen tools the best?  Over at House By Hoff, April knew exactly what she wanted to do with this old colander as soon as she laid eyes on it.

First step in this rescue was priming and painting the colander.  Since she wouldn’t be using it to store anything edible, April didn’t have to worry about what kind of paint to use.  Once the paint dried, she added soil and planted some of her favorite plants:  succulents!  The old colander makes a fun, new home for these pretty plants.
