Over at Finding Home, Laura has had this vintage galvanized milk crate sitting in her garage for a long time. She recently decided that it could be better used as a seat or stool in her kitchen.
To repurpose this crate, Laura started by having her husband cut a piece of wood to serve as a seat. It attached easily to the top of the crate with screws. Some additional wood fixed to the bottom of the crate provided a means of attaching caster wheels. Laura added some typography to the wooden seat with paint, then rubbed wax over it to really bring out an aged patina in the wood. It looks amazing!
