Second Chance to Shine Dresser

Over at McCall Manor, Holly’s mom gave a junky dresser a second chance.  The dresser was a second hand find of thirty years ago that had served in a boy’s room and eventually made it’s way out to sit in the garage to be a catch-all for lawn supplies and tools.

Holly’s mom and her friend made some repairs to the dresser so that it would be sturdy again.  Then, she used Kilz primer to cover up the old stain.  She mixed up a batch of homemade chalk paint to serve as the top coat.  The legs of the dresser and the wood between the drawers she painted gold, then hand painted a charming scene of birds on the front of the dresser.  Beautiful!
