Vintage Vanity Chair Refabbed

Over at The Salvaged Boutique, Kathy tells us, “Last year I  was dressed in a suit, heels on, make up done, good hair day.  And then I drove by a neighbor’s house and saw farm tools, antiques AND furniture…curbside for garbage day!”

One of her favorite finds that day was this 1920’s vanity chair.  The lovely scrolled back had broken off the seat, so the first step in the restoration of this chair was repairing that.  A new seat was cut, and then Kathy went to work sanding and priming the chair.  She gave it a top coat of soft gray latex paint.  New upholstery in a fresh, fun print trimmed with a fringe of pom poms finished the makeover.  Isn’t it darling?
