Over at McCall Manor, Holly spotted this handsome bookcase on–you guessed it–the side of the road! Believe it or not, all that glass was completely intact!
Holly was delighted with this find, especially since she’d been waiting to try painting with milk paint for the first time on furniture that she wouldn’t mind experimenting with. This cabinet was perfect! She cut new shelves for the inside, and painted the whole thing with Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in the color “Ironstone.” Once the paint dried, Holly chipped off some of the paint and sanded it in other places to give it a well-worn, distressed finish. She filled the cabinet with keepsakes and other special items. What a neat place to keep and display loved objects!
