Ever seen one of these before? These country-style hook shelves are easy to find in thrift shops and yard sales. Mindy from MyLove2Create had one sitting out in her shed, and what she did with it was featured at My Repurposed Life.
Mindy needed a place in her daughter’s room where backpacks could be hung up and library books and school items could be placed for easy access while coming and going. She remembered the shelf in her shed and decided that with a few modification, she could make it useful. Mindy beefed up the shelf with more brackets and a bead board panel above it. She trimmed it and added pretty turned dowels to the front for containing those tall books that don’t fit inside backpacks. It’s the perfect solution!
