Carolyn keeps a collection of vintage buttons. She decided to use some of them to create a quick Valentine’s Day project. Visit her blog, Homework, to find this project.
Along with the buttons, Carolyn used an embroidery hoop, red thread, and some gray wool flannel for this project. After fitting the flannel fabric inside the embroidery hoop, she traced the outline of a heart on it. Then, she sewed each button in place, being careful to cover up the outline. Carolyn overlapped her buttons slightly, to give the heart they formed a little dimmension. I like the way the red thread and ivory buttons pop against the gray flannel. So pretty!
