When Bethany of Pitter and Glink spotted this framed goose embroidery art, she was drawn to it for two reasons. First, her grandmother loved geese. And second, oval frames are hard to come by! She snatched this one right up for 50 cents, gees and all.
Bethany decided to give this wall art a total makeover. She started by giving the frame a fresh coat of gold spray paint. She printed out a feather graphic that she’d fallen in love with, and added some color with a gold sharpie marker. For added zing, Bethany grabbed a needle and embroidery thread, and stitched around some of the designs on the feather, which added dimension and texture to the art. She replaced the geese with (appropriatedly) this stitched feather for a gorgeous transformation from dated to modern art.
