I have an amazing makeover for you today from Deb at Lake Girl Paints. “I received a hand-me-down freebie end table that came with a glass top,” she says. Her idea for transforming it is too good not to share.
Deb started by painting the body with white chalk paint and sanding the edges. She followed that with two coats of wax, one clear and one dark, to bring out the carved details. Next, Deb painted the top of the table black, adding glaze on top to mimic the look of a chalkboard. Once the tabletop was dry, she used chalk to draw a collage of frames, which she topped with clear sealer. Deb placed black and white family photos inside the chalked “frames” before putting the glass back down on the tabletop. Isn’t that beautiful?
