At Dewdrop Gables, friends who know about Debbie’s penchant for old furniture passed this old telephone table along to her. ”This poor, dog-chewed phone table, was a mess!” she laments. ”Aside from the damage by their dog, it was rickety and had ugly fabric on the seat.”
The first order of business in giving this table a new life was to repair the damaged corners. Debbie sanded and rerouted the edges. Next, she painted the table with Annie Sloan chalk paint, with Old Ochre on the body of the table, and Old Violet on the edges of the table. She lightly distressed the table and gave it a coat of dark wax. She covered the seat cushion with pretty toile fabric and reattached it. What a fun, new look!
