At this time of year, glass ball ornaments are easy to find. You probably have some of your own, or can get some very easily. If you’d like to do something fun to personalize your tree, Crystal from Little Bit Funky has a darling idea.
Crystal started out with some plain glass ball ornaments in happy colors. She recommends the opaque ones, but shiny ones work, too. The next step requires children with thumbs. Crystal has a few of those around (you probably do, too), so she had the children dip their thumbs in brown paint and leave thumbprints on the ornaments. She added a dot of paint for a red nose, and used a black Sharpie marker to make eyes and antlers to create a reindeer from each thumbprint. ”These will be cute teacher and family gifts,” Crystal says, “And I will be keeping a few myself, too.” This is so cute, I think I might have to try it!
