“Not long ago someone called me to tell me they saw a table in the ditch near my house. When you love junk people start calling you to rescue it,” laughs Rhonda at Obsessive and Creative. Since the fiberboard tabletop had been sitting in the water, it wasn’t salvageable, but Rhonda thought she could do something with the rest.
The legs on this table were made of solid wood and they were still pretty sturdy. Rhonda looked for a replacement for the tabletop in her garage, and found just the right size of cabinet door. After attaching the door to the perfectly sized table base, she painted it white. Red stripes were added to give the table a vintage beachside vibe. Talk about a makeover–it’s such a pretty table, now!
