Marta blogs at 2nd Funniest Thing. There, she shares the makeover of a bedside table that she found during her neighborhood’s last junk collection day. The color and pattern for this makeover was inspired by an Aztec print sweater that she loves to wear.
The first step in this transformation was giving the bedside table a thorough cleaning. Marta removed all of the metal trims and hardware, and then gave the piece two coats of primer, followed by more layers of white paint. Once the paint dried, she used a printable stencil template to add the Aztec style designs on the drawers and sides of this bedside table. The final touch was giving the table a more rustic look by covering the top with rustic pine boards. What a fun piece of furniture!
