At her blog, While They Snooze, Sarah has been working on transforming her daughter’s bedroom from baby to big-girl style. One of the problems that needed addressing was the lack of a nightstand. ”And, lucky for me… the neighbors were movin’ on out and left this beauty at the curb. Score! Quite scratched but the perfect size,” Sarah exclaims.
This project was one the kids could help with–Sarah had them handle all the sanding. Afterwards, she gave the little table a quick coat of spray primer. She topped that with Rustoleum’s Berry Pink in a gloss finish, and offers this tip: ”Paint many light coats and allow them to dry completely in between to avoid the sticky finish afterwards.” To finish of this makeover, the plain knob on the drawer was switched out for something with a little more bling. I’m sure this is going to be soooo cute in the new bedroom!
