At her blog Plum Doodles, Sheila has been giving her keeping room a mini makeover. There’s not room for a lot of furniture, but one thing she needed in there was a small table. ”I decided to challenge myself and create a diy accent table from whatever I already had on hand,” Sheila says.
What Sheila had on hand were a few odds and ends, including this old bucket that seemed like the right height for a pedestal base. She cut down some old table legs to make feet for the pedestal, and painted everything white. For the table top, Sheila explains, “ I found particle board and a glass top from one of those wobbly three-legged tables at a yard sale. The particle board was too rough to paint, so I covered it with burlap cut from a coffee sack.” The little table that she created is a great way to fill the space for the time being, and didn’t cost a thing to make!
