Jamie blogs at Anderson + Grant. Recently, she rescued this old metal medicine cabinet from her grandmother’s garage. It’s size and shape reminded her of a message center she’d seen in the pages of a Pottery Barn Catalog.
Convinced that a few changes could turn the old cabinet into a comparably organized message center, Jamie went to work. First, she painted the entire piece with white chalkpaint, to cover the imperfections of the worn finish. Next, Jamie turned the inside door into a chalkboard. She added a key rail for extra storage and organization. What a terrific way to repurpose the formerly junked cabinet.
