Annie blogs at Unexpected Transformations. ”I was given this dresser from a friend who didn’t quite know what to do with it, she says. The finish was worn and on some of the upper drawers, the slides had broken off.
The solution that Annie came up with for those broken slides was to remove those drawers completely. She realized that since the dresser was tall, getting those drawers out of there would make it more like an armoire. ”So, I got rid of a couple of the shelves and added a pole for hanging your cloths inside,” Annie explains. ”The doors are made out of old fencing, the pole inside for hanging is from an old shovel and the material for the doors are old curtains.” Wow, it sounds like Annie rescued more than one item to make this pretty armoire fully functional!
