Laminate Night Stand Refabbed

Brandy blogs at Gluesticks.  When her ho-hum laminate night stand was about to be kicked to the curb, she decided to give it a new chance at life.  She gave it a makeover and repurposed it into the sweetest little sewing storage stand.

Since the bottom drawer was broken, Brandy discarded it before starting to transform the night stand.  Because of the type of primer she used, she didn’t need to sand the piece, but started by applying two coats of primer.  Brandi followed with two coats of lovely turquoise paint, then finished it off with a coat of clear spray paint.  Adding a wire basket to the bottom drawer space was the finishing touch on her new storage stand.  I love the open storage for the fabric on the bottom shelf!  Can you believe it’s the same piece of furniture?
