Susan blogs at Homeroad. She’s lucky enough to have a neighbor that throws out great stuff. When it came to this bench tossed by the neighbor, “I have red chairs from Crate and Barrel in my kitchen and I thought it would be great to try and match the color of the bench with the chairs,” Susan says.
She decided to try out a sample pot of chalk paint on this bench–making it a completely free makeover. (Love that!) She tried out CeCe Caldwell’s Traverse City Cherry. With a couple coats of dark wax, this bench ended up being almost an exact match to Susan’s chairs. Isn’t it lovely?
