Mini China Hutch Redo

Eliza of MamaTwo has trained her husband well:  he keeps an eye out for roadkill rescues, too.  This project, though, goes even beyond the road.  Eliza’s husband found this little china hutch at the dump.

Considering where it had been, the cabinet was in pretty good shape.  The cherry stained finish just wasn’t Eliza’s style, so she freshened it up with a coat of pale blue.  The chipboard backing wasn’t doing it for her, either, and I love what Eliza came up with to change that: daisy wrapping paper glued over the chipboard.  The sweet birdies on the garland added to the front are the perfect finishing touch.  Adorable!
