At Lipstick and Sawdust, Kristen says that this upcycling project began when she saw an older model baby bed sitting on the curb. She’d been looking for toddler bed for some time, and realized that curbside crib had a lot of potential.
Kristen cut down the legs of the crib so that it would be toddler bed height. Before painting the bed, she added some structural reinforcements so that the bed would be nice and sturdy. (Because if you know toddlers, you know that jumping on the bed is a big part of the nighttime routine!) She finished the bed by stenciling a cute scrolly flower and an initial. Adorable!
