Taylor blogs at TaylorMade. When she brought this vintage barrel chair home from a garage sale, she was excited about the chair but knew the upholstery had to go. Quotes from professionals were over $400, so Taylor gathered up her courage and decided to do it herself.
One of the coolest things about this makeover is the fabric. Taylor wasn’t finding anything she loved at a price she was willing to pay, so she actually created her own fabric by painting those tiny, multi-colored dots onto inexpensive muslin. Taylor admits this was her most challenging DIY project to date, saying, “It wasn’t that easy… and now I know why people wanted to charge me $400.” I think her efforts were totally worthwhile, don’t you?
