Kid Friendly Corner Bench from Old Bed

Gail of My Repurposed Life had an old twin headboard and footboard (similar to the ones pictured below) that had been sitting in her storage shed for a few years.  When she was able to get a bunch of free lumber but didn’t have room to store it, she decided  to use that lumber up right away and free some storage space by using the headboard and footboard, too!

I love what she made!  The curved headboard and footbard made a perfect duo as the backs of a banquette bench.  The bench is perfectly sized for kids.  The seats and table were made with the rest of the lumber.  Gail painted the set a cheery shade of red.  Wouldn’t that be a delightful addition to any family’s home?
