At Namely Originals, Emily says that her mom was on the way to pick up some mulch when she spotted this crate on the side of the road. Since Mom is a big fan of Roadkill Rescue (yay!) she couldn’t help but stop in the middle of the road to rescue it.
When Emily saw the crate, she knew exactly what to do with it. She thought it would look awesome as a shelf for collectibles on their kitchen wall! Emily painted and distressed the crate–which, interestingly enough, turned out to be an old ammunition crate–and added some cup hooks on the underside as a convenient place to hang keys. It’s been the perfect addition to her family’s kitchen.
