Grocery Store Play Area from an Antique Armoire

This Christmas, Kristen from Inspired Whims presented her daughter with a completely adorable gift that she crafted from a beautiful antique mahogany wardrobe.  The wardrobe was a $20 Craigslist find.

With paint, new hardware, wood shelves, and kid-friendly store items, this old wardrobe was transformed into a kid-friendly grocery store!  Kristen said it best: “Tell me you don’t want to be a kid again when you see this!”  It’s a delightful transformation that is sure to inspire lots of fun, imaginative play.

  1. like it!

  2. Very cute idea!

  3. Saw this on Pinterest and thought it was so charming…then saw the name and was DOUBLE-charmed to see it’s the same as mine. Same first and middle, same spellings, same everything. It made me happy. :) Nice to know that there are other Addie Leigh’s out there. A good name. :)
