Grocery Store Play Area from an Antique Armoire

This Christmas, Kristen from Inspired Whims presented her daughter with a completely adorable gift that she crafted from a beautiful antique mahogany wardrobe.  The wardrobe was a $20 Craigslist find.

With paint, new hardware, wood shelves, and kid-friendly store items, this old wardrobe was transformed into a kid-friendly grocery store!  Kristen said it best: “Tell me you don’t want to be a kid again when you see this!”  It’s a delightful transformation that is sure to inspire lots of fun, imaginative play.

  1. Saw this on Pinterest and thought it was so charming…then saw the name and was DOUBLE-charmed to see it’s the same as mine. Same first and middle, same spellings, same everything. It made me happy. 🙂 Nice to know that there are other Addie Leigh’s out there. A good name. 🙂
