At Simply Thrifty, Megan says, “I’ve been seeing some beautiful signs on Pinterest for awhile and had the desire to create one for our household. A few weeks ago, while driving to pick up our Christmas tree, I drove past some old fence wood on the side of the road.” It was tricky to fit the wood and the Christmas tree into her van, but Megan did it!
Back at home, Megan used the weathered wood to make a sign that expresses her joy at the Christmas Season. I like the way Megan paired a sophisticated font with the rustic boards. That contrast adds a lot of visual interest to the board. The chalked on lettering also gives the effect of a worn, painted sign, which is a great effect.
