We all know that Goodwill is cheap, but this find from Lisa at Recaptured Charm takes the cake! I can only imagine her amazement when she saw the 99 cent price tag on this wood coffee table. Yep, 99 cents!
The cheap table was the perfect opportunity for Lisa to tackle her first ottoman project. Lisa layered plywood, foam, batting, and fabric and then took on the challenge of tufting. Crazy how those little buttons make such a difference!

Jealous! The Goodwill stores around here would price that at $25, at a minimum!
Crazy! You could probably buy a new coffee table at Wal-mart for that much!
Our Goodwill stores are definitely NOT cheap. In fact, I sometimes go there just so I can get a laugh from the prices. Thanks for sharing some interesting projects.
Ugh! Bummer! It’s definitely a hit or miss. I have never seen a table for a buck though, even on the best of days. Lisa definitely scored a rare deal. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment.

No kidding! I love the tufts. They are the icing on the cake for me. Thanks for reading!

Crazy, right? Who doesn’t love dollar store furniture? Ha!
Wow, well done! She’s a master upholsterer. I don’t think I could pull that off, it’s gorgeous!
Upholstering does seem pretty intimidating at first, but I think you’d be amazed at what you can do once you gave it a try. If you have an old table or bench or can find one for free on Craiglist or the curb, you don’t really have much to lose. Thanks for reading!
