When Janel of Nellie Bellie laid eyes on this solid headboard that her husband lugged home from the curb, she didn’t have thoughts of refabbing it for her master bedroom. No siree, instead she saw an organization station for her office.
Janel turned the headboard into functional storage space with wooden shelves and dividers and even some bamboo dowels for sorting mail. If you’re anything like me, storage is something you just can’t get enough of, and, of course, pretty storage just takes the cake!
Go to Nellie Bellie see how Janel turned her headboard into a bookshelf.
Nellie Bellie you are good! And so is your husband for Lugging that heavy piece home! WOW! I would have never thought of using a headboard for a storage shelf– but this is why I just love ya- You think out of the box all the time! Nice work!

Very interesting. She sure has the shabby chic down. When I see your blog in my email, I open it first. I can’t wait to see what you have done or have found to share with us. Thank you for sharing!
Ahhh, thanks, Donna! You are too sweet, and your words are a wonderful start to my day!
How many of these did I walk by thinking old dresser top? Too many. Now I will see what they can become. Nice job repurposing.

It really sheds new light on outdated headboard and dresser hutches. I love Janel’s whole space!
