Karen from Somewhat Quirky Design found this headboard in a pile of furniture a couple of blocks from her house and rescued it to refab for her daughter’s bedroom. Solid wood, immaculate condition, a gorgeous curved design… are you drooling yet?
After painting and waxing it to perfection to match her daughter’s previously refabbed dresser, Karen accidentally knocked the headboard over and broke one of its lovely curves. Doh! Luckily, some wood glue saved Karen’s hard work, and the dresser survived the 1,100 mile trek to its new home.

What a fun, colorful room. The headboard is perfect in there!
I know. It really is a perfect fit, which makes it an even more amazing find!
love the color! I have a headboard that i purchased for $10.00 at a Goodwill, thanks for sharing.
Gotta love Goodwill! Ten bucks sure beats paying hundreds for a new headboard, especially when you can revamp one like Karen did to fit your space to perfection!
I wonder why anyone buys new stuff anymore. Just about everything can be re-purposed and look great.

I am seriously head over heels for this headboard! We’re working on redoing our guest bedroom/home office… and now, I’m totally dreaming of scoring a headboard like this now…
This was a killer find, and the style couldn’t be more perfect for the space. Hope your roadkill rescue dreams come true!
